Prior to the enactment of the 2005 amendments to the Bankruptcy Code, practitioners, academics and judges all proclaimed the dramatic impact certain of the amendments would have on bankruptcy law and practice in the US. While the amendments received most attention for the provisions dealing with consumer bankruptcy issues, many pertain directly to commercial insolvency matters too.
